Selat Solo


Selat  solo is one dish from Solo, Central Java . Dish consisting of several kinds of vegetables are boiled and served with pickled meat stews and sauces with a mixture of egg yolk mustrad . This special dish you can serve during the holidays , parties or for everyday dish . 

The ingredients: 
300 grams of meat has deep, wide with thick slices 1/2 cm , prick with a fork 
2 tablespoons margarine
1,000 ml of water 
1 tomato , cut into pieces
3 red onions , thinly sliced
 
Seasoning marinade : 
1 tablespoon soy sauce 
3 teaspoons Inggris ketchup

1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg 
1/4 teaspoon ground pepper 
1/2 teaspoon salt 


Complement : 
50 grams of green beans , cut into 3 cm , boiled 
75 grams of carrots , cut into 3 cm , boiled 
200 grams of small round potatoes , boiled , fried briefly 
3 eggs , boiled and cut into pieces

Lets Make it


  • Rub the meat with the marinade . Let stand 1 hour in the refrigerator .
  • Heat the margarine and saute onion until fragrant then put tomatoes . Stir until wilted . Pour water . Let boil
  • Insert meat . Allow it to change color .
  • Add soy sauce , Inggris ketchup  , nutmeg powder , pepper powder , and salt . Let the meat until cooked
  •  Serve meat with Complement
